Alex is a partner who practices in the areas of land development and development charges. He was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2018.
Alex’s practice is informed by his earlier experience as a Consulting Planner where he prepared specialized planning studies, official plans, and comprehensive zoning by-laws, and guided clients through planning application processes. He has appeared before the Ontario Land Tribunal, Toronto Local Appeal Body as well as the Ontario Court of Justice and in writing before the Court of Appeal.
During his studies in land use planning, Alex specialized in spatial statistics and geographic information systems. He then went on to complete graduate level work in large-scale development approvals and local politics.
Alex’s achievements were recognized at Osgoode Hall Law School where he was awarded the Robert W. Macaulay Scholarship in Land Use Planning Law.
He is the co-author of Development Charge Changes and the New Community Benefits Charge Regime: What Does it all Mean? published by the Ontario Bar Association in 2021.
