Michael is a partner practicing land use planning and development law. He was called to the bar in June 2011.
Michael’s practice focuses predominately on advising developers and landowners throughout the municipal approval process for large-scale development projects and other residential, office, retail, industrial and mixed-use projects.
Michael advocates for clients before municipal councils, as well as various committees of adjustments and land division committees, and navigates appeals under Ontario’s Planning Act, representing clients before the Ontario Land Tribunal and the Toronto Local Appeal Body.
Michael has taught planning law at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. He also sits on the board of directors of the Black Planners and Urbanists Association, a not-for-profit that seeks to facilitate engagement and collaboration among professionals to increase access and opportunities for the Black professionals in planning, land development and housing and related fields.
