Bob is a partner who practices in the areas of land development, municipal law, and expropriation law. He was called to the Ontario Bar in June 1989.
Bob’s extensive practice covers a broad range of land use and development issues as well as complex municipal and expropriation matters for clients across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton regions. He represents both public and private sector clients, providing guidance on the resolution of infrastructure, land acquisition, land use and division matters, including official planning, zoning, variance, site planning, consent, subdivisions, and expropriation matters.
Prior to joining Davies Howe, Bob was the Assistant Town Solicitor for a GTA local municipality and the senior planning lawyer for a GTA regional municipality.
Bob regularly appears before the Ontario Land Tribunal and municipal councils and committees to advocate for his clients. He has also appeared before the Divisional Court, Ontario Energy Board, and other administrative tribunals.
Bob has held the role of instructor/lecturer before professional organizations on various matters, including examination and cross-examination and dealing with expert witnesses. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Municipal Section of the Ontario Bar Association.
