About Susan

Susan is a partner who practices in the areas of land use planning and development, and cost sharing among developers. She was called to the Ontario Bar in June 1983.

Susan represents both individuals and corporations across Ontario on a wide range of real estate matters including complex cost sharing and front-ending arrangements, planning applications and development charges. Her experience also covers the financing, development, and conveyancing of commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential projects.

Susan regularly advocates on behalf of her clients before the Divisional Court and various administrative tribunals including the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) and the Rent Review Hearings Board as well as many municipal councils and committees of adjustment.

Prior to joining Davies Howe, Susan ran a highly successful legal practice for ten years focusing on all aspects of land use planning and development. In addition to practicing law in the private sector, she worked as in-house counsel for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. She also spent time in the corporate sector, managing a portfolio of 5,000 residential units, nursing homes and a hotel chain for a large real estate and syndication company.
